Lea was born and raised here in Palm Beach County, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Florida Atlantic University. During her time at FAU, she assisted with sea turtle research in FAUs Marine Science Lab at Gumbo Limbo Nature Complex. She also studied native treefrog populations in Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Before joining the FFA team, she worked as a preserve assistant with The Nature Conservancy and a public programs educator with The Florida Aquarium in Tampa, FL. In her free time, Lea enjoys beachcombing, snorkeling, and hiking.
