Originally from New Jersey, MaryAnne graduated from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, and served as the Director of Recreation in Paramus, New Jersey, for 14 years. She moved to Florida in 1989 and began teaching physical education at Lake Worth Middle School. After 27 years of teaching, she has retired and founded the nonprofit, Access the Sea, Inc., a boating and fishing opportunity for people with disabilities and challenges. MaryAnne partnered with the FFA to make these voyages accessible to all in the community. MaryAnne also serves on the Palm Beach Gardens Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and Lake Worth Dollars for Scholars, and she fundraises for Genesis Assistance Dogs and Networking to Help Children.
